Fassisi Giardia Rapid Test

Fassisi Giardia rapid test is a rapid immunochromatographic test that detects surface antigens of Giardia cysts and trophozoites in dog and cat feces.

If a Giardia infection is present, immediate treatment is important, and the pet owner must also immediately take hygienic measures in their own household to combat the particularly persistent pathogens. With the GiarDia rapid test, you get results very quickly, so no time is lost in follow-up.

The rapid test uses a coupling technique based on blue latex particles. The latex particles ensure that the test line has a particularly intense color result if the result is positive (high sensitivity), so that even the smallest concentrations of Giardia cysts can be reliably detected.

Important note

It should be noted that the excretion of Giardia trophozoites and cysts is irregular and can also temporarily cease. Therefore, multiple examinations are recommended, or a more common method in daily practice: examination of a pooled fecal sample.

(Take a small sample from 3 days of feces and mix them in the brown collection container. This should be kept cool in the meantime. This mixed sample can, after being brought to room temperature, be used as the basis for the test and thus provides even higher test reliability.)
